Can’t a thief simply tear it off the package?

ZakTrak is applied with a strong commercial adhesive. *Any tampering with will immediately sound the alarm in the event of attempted removal or attempting to cut it off, all while alerting you of its status.

Can I have a ZakTrak put inside the box?

No. The visual and audible deterrence the ZakTrak offers is what makes it effective. Just like when a would-be burglar sees an “Alarm Sign” in the front yard or anti-theft tag on an article of clothing in a store.

How do I know if my retailer put a ZakTrak on my package?

When a retailer creates a shipping label and corresponding ZakTrak, you will be notified via text message or if you have the APP via notification.

So can I track my package once it ships?

No. The ZakTrak stays in an idle, standby mode until the package gets delivered. As soon as the delivery driver scans the shipping label as delivered, ZakTrak fully activates.

How long does the ZakTrak Last?

Depending on how many interactions it may have with potential thieves, up to 24 days.

Do I have to download the App for my ZakTrak to work?

No. You can simply follow links sent to you via Text to use ZakTrak. Downloading the App will allow you multiple different settings on a ZakTrak.

What do I do with my ZakTrak after I’ve safely received my package?

Once you have selected to “DEACTIVATE” the ZakTrak via your mobile device, you can simply throw it away. We are currently working on a recycling program that will allow you to ship them back to us free of charge.

What if I'm not home and a family member wants to get the package?

Features in the App allow you to add family and friends as authorized users to DEACTIVATE the ZakTrak with their phones. Or you can simply have someone scan the QR code and you can give them a one-time authorization as well.
